Keep it Burning

"When your father is there, it's the best kick in the butt!"

Maybe that’s why Catalan pro-climber Edu Marín brings along his 70-year-old father on an expedition to the Karakoram. With his brother Alex in tow the trip to the notorious Trango Towers becomes a bonafide family affair. After 13 years, Edu wants reignite the route Eternal Flame on Trango Nameless Tower - a route steeped in history: Established by climbing legends Wolfgang Güllich and Kurt Albert in 1989, the Huber brothers Alexander and Thomas managed to do the first free ascent of Eternal Flame in 2009.

Yet Keep it Burning shows that climbing itself won’t be the biggest challenge on this family trip, when Mother Nature bares her teeth.
